Thinking about this month's #writing goals so I'm thinking about last month's work. My hope had been to finish a very very rough draft of the whole thing. Instead I brainstormed the majority (I hope) of Act III and wrote over 18000 words. That's so good! And good to remind myself I have some momentum when starting again today.

I have done so much brainstorming the past few days I think I have nearly run out four of my fountain pens. I had better clean and refill before tomorrow! Or disaster :)

I spent all of last week's writing work trying to deal with something in the plot that wasn't working. I brainstormed, thought I fixed it, drafted, and found I hadn't. Repeatedly. And here I am again, doing the same this week. At least I think I have articulated the question I need to answer as opposed to trying to deal with an amorphous "something"?? #amwriting

It's been a crummy week so I drew a cute duckling and now I'm going to paint it

I cycled out to drop off the food we cooked for the shelter and now I am taking a minute to enjoy watching this tomato plant paint its fruit :)

Always many beautiful bits of art in this timeline but I really love this one. Cyanotype! Butterflies! (Okay, moths not butterflies sigh.)

We cycled to the farmers market this morning, where one farm ran out of corn and another cherry tomatoes, but there was plenty of purslane. We heard two friends who hadn't seen each other in years do the "OMG is that you? I live a block that way." "I live a block thataway." A kind person with celery told me where I could find some. We obtained excellent veg and locally produced treats. And we cycled home before it started to rain. #BikeTooter

It looks like I've written over 10K words in the past 2 weeks! Roaring through act III of my fantasy mystery. I've run out of brainstormed bits to draft, in fact :) So this weekend I need to refill my well so I can make bonkers plans for the rest of the story. Huzzah.

The 350 bus was 15 minutes late to leave Alewife this morning so I wasn't surprised by the crowd waiting. I was surprised to see there were three whole empty seats once we were all on. People use transit. People deserve better transit.
