Three good things today
1. A sleep.in, because partner worked from home today.
2. I got a lot of revision done and I'm feeling OK about my exam tomorrow.
3. Cup of tea.

Started watching "Kevin Can Fuck Himself" this week.
I'm not far in, but I knew the premise before beginning.
I wasn't prepared for how much of a relief the first cut away from the sitcom laughtrack would be. That might be specific to having grown up with all those awful "hilarious narcissist belittles wife and kids for jokes" shows while also living it, but in any case it was wonderful.
yes yes yes - uni melb lets plebs like me sign up and borrow books from the library! might make a trip to parkville today
Libraries as a group are starting to absolutely KILL it on social media 📚

"Our records show you’ve used myID on a device running Android 8, 9 or 10.
You can continue using the myID app on that device until 4 September 2026.
After that date, you'll need a device running Android 11 or later to access government online services with myID."
I just did a reformer pilates class for the first time in 5 years.
Omg. More effort than I've been able to get at the gym in ages (due to injuries and hand problems). I'm in love. I also might have trouble walking tomorrow.
when you send me vaguely lawyerly-sounding emails in hopes of threatening me to take down my reporting, and demand i "preserve all potentially relevant records, including ... search-engine submissions"
Any time you see "New package, same great product!" marketing on something in a store, I guarantee they just shrinkflationed you hard.
This package used to hold 56 pads for the same price as what now gets you 40. The individual pads are not materially different.
Three good things for Monday
1. Got some good couch time in watching a miniseries with my partner.
2. Feeling weird but in new ways, but it's hopefully processing (via therapy), which is good. Progress I think.
3. Blood oranges
Every once in a while, the internet delivers sublime joy.

I want to scratch my own eyes out and I constantly look like I'm about to cry.
Any other #Melbourne people having really bad hayfever this season?
I can't seem to get it under control this year.
Three good things for the weekend past.
1. Saw several friends via book club, Ruxmon, and a social things. That was lovely.
2. Many garden tasks are complete, and the big effort is underway. Soon I will get to plant trees.
3. While I was only useful for watching in case of emergency, I got some of a uni assignment done (sitting outside, with earmuffs on, hooray for WiFi and laptops).
@catsalad *ahem*
EVERY TIME SOMEONE CREATES A PERSONAL RULE TO FILE SYSTEM ALERTS AWAY FROM THEIR INBOX IS A TIME YOUR MONITORING SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED
Typo should say "bits fell off", but look, our butts metaphorically did too. Very annoying.
Up bright and early to make lunches and take the demo saw back.
The muffler came unstuck and buts fell off *just* after closing time yesterday, so we're booked in again for next week. Sorry neighbours! Only a little bit more to go though, and then it's concrete hauling time, and then! Then we can plant the trees.
It's 10pm.
Do you know where your backups are?
OK, what is the "post pending" thing about? I see it a lot now.
It is extremely sad that:
a) there aren't readily available curry puffs for breakfast where I live, and
b) that if there were I'd just get artery and cholesterol and related problems anyway.
