Some musings on what I like in #ttrpg :
I do like it when player characters get more powerful and competent over time. But the power curve of #DnD and its derivatives is too steep for me - I like it when a campaign has room to breathe.
Thus, some of my favorite RPGs have a middle ground of slow but steady improvement - where the players can pick some minor improvements after each session or two which become impressive over time. #GURPS and #WFRP are some good examples of this style of play - the characters can become very powerful over the course of a long campaign without actually developing into the equivalent of superheroes.
What is your preference when it comes to the power curve in RPGs?

Als Ergänzung: Die #ERA5 -Daten sind über eine #API erreichbar, und in unserer lokalen AG Klimaschutz hat auch jemand Skripte zum Auslesen entwickelt.
Theoretisch sollte es also für die #Grünen möglich sein, mit relativ überschaubaren Aufwand lokalisierte Klimadaten für #Kommunalwahlen im großen Stil zu erzeugen.
Und für Umweltschutz-Verbände wie #BUND , #NABU etc. wäre das vielleicht auch interessant.

I think I could fill a book with German folk tales which are essentially #fanfiction :
- Roman Empire fanfiction (alleged Roman cities founded across Germany and the like)
- Bible fanfiction (Jesus and Peter travel the world and get up to assorted shenanigans)
- Fanfiction about assorted historical figures
*Sigh*
They explicitly extended TPS for Ukrainian immigrants and didn't for Haitian immigrants.
I'm not talking about the potential grift in the future. I'm talking about the racism happening right now.
I'm not talking about what they hypothetically might do to Ukrainian refugees in the future. I'm talking about what they are doing to Haitian immigrants right now.
Like the man in the photo, that has committed no crime, and is being fitted with an ankle monitor, so that ICE can find him more easily later when the raid him to deport Jim and send him back to Haiti where he faces the very real possibility of being killed in the street.
To be clear: My Ukrainian friends think it's super weird how people are more keen to talk about what might happen to them, than they are willing to talk about what is happening to Haitians.
Strange lights can sometimes be spotted in the German countryside at night.
Some of them are friendly, and some of them are... not.

I've long realized that the modern "Santa Claus" myth has a lot of parallels with the Wild Hunt.
