does anyone have a specific greenpeace badge that they'd be willing to part with? i could trade a wee sculpture for it ...
the one in question is black and round: a simple button badge. it says "I'm a Rainbow Warrior" on it in white and rainbow lettering.

i got one from greenpeace some years ago when i was fortunate enough to get to wander around the rainbow warrior when it was docked near where i lived at the time. it had price of place on my bag ever since ... until it disappeared. i've looked everywhere and can't find it anywhere and am very sad. i always hoped it made people think; it certainly made me smile. and remember to keep fighting.

so if you've got one and wouldn't mind not having it anymore, please can you let me know?

also, @greenpeace , i've seen that you don't sell merch in france (where i live atm) and i entirely understand why, but if you still have those badges, er, would you like a sculpture? :eariz_bun_peek:

Crows live, in part, in extended family groups, including multiple generations of young. It's quite possible that the bird with the cracker is an older sibling, ignoring their pestering baby sibling.

This isn't a "good" photo, but I wanted to share this funny interaction I witnessed between members of a crow family I've been seeing often nearby. An adult with a cracker they'd found and a juvenile (identifiable as such by their blue eyes) hopping close to them and staring longingly at the food. The adult was not inclined to share, however. #birding #corvids

@idzie Here’s a beautiful eastern water dragon that lives by a creek nearby. They’re all laying low and wintering at the moment but as the days warm up they’ll be around. Tiny skinks are always rustling in the leaf litter. The lizard world is very companionable.

The best time to find slime molds is in the summer after heavy rain. Well, that’s exactly what we have had at the house… or should I say, ON the house??

Slime molds have 2 stages: plasmodial and fruiting. In the first, they are capable of movement. They can climb things. In the second, they can have very cool shaped bodies as they prepare to release their spores.

This one climbed the wooden siding of my house. 😳

Oscar came and curled up with me in bed this morning, pressed his face into mine on my pillow, and purred. First time he's done anything like that! 🥹

I explored a new trail today and there were so many Northern Leopard Frogs I had to use my walking staff to sweep the ground as I walked. So amazing!
