Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I can't help but feel a bit of sadness from combing through my FA submissions list tonight and seeing all the animals with human cocks.

It feels... Wrong. Not only because human cocks look so out of place on what are otherwise characters that lean very heavy into animalistc designs, but it feels as if a bunch of furry artists didn't get the fuck off of Twitter and are now afraid of drawing animal cocks because of it. >.>

Therapy took a lot out of me today. x.x

I keep coming back to this deep emotional wound from the neglect I went through growing up. It hurts when I recognize folks expressing genuine love towards me, regarding me as a person they cherish.

It's been overwhelming today. I keep crying and wanting to cry...

My self esteem has hit an all time low, and I'm struggling so badly to stop that voice in my head from tearing myself down.

I've been reduced to a sobbing mess in my bed, doubting myself so much that I can't even be bothered to get up and try again anymore...

Acknowledging my post from earlier today, I think it's best if I take a break from here for a little while. Reflecting on my post earlier today, I realized I was in such a bad mood that I became so badly fixated on, and it impacted my ability to work on the things I intended to do today.

I... Honestly haven't been doing that great, mentally, these past few weeks... :blobfoxsad:

I've been observing a pattern that I've become aware of in the past few years.

A tech firm that provides a product or service that tech-y folks have relied upon for years will suddenly be mired in controversy. Whether disclosed openly, or folks doing sleuthing, it comes out that the leadership of said organizations are involved in some sort of shitty behavior that's enabling fascism to take hold within the organization.

I really hate to say it, but the way I see it, it's getting to a point where *everything* is, or is in the midst of becoming, fash-ware now. Even FOSS nonprofits are in the midst of being taken over by the tech-fascists. Look at what happened to Mozilla as an example. Something something there's no ethical consumption under capitalism...

None of this is new, but here's the controversial hot take from yours truly that I think a lot of folks are either not aware of or downright avoiding to confront: Purity politics is hampering our efforts of fighting back, here.

We simply can't just boycott these folks any longer. While "voting with your wallet" used to work, these bastards have already accepted that folks are going to do this, and they're embracing that fully as a strategy. So why hold ourselves back out of a moral standpoint when there's literally little else that can be done?

So, the big question is, how do we stop this? How do we fight back? We can't just keep being reactionary and freaking out when yet another service or hardware manufacturer decides to go full fash. Not to sound like a tankie here, but we need to seize the means of production. Build our own infrastructure instead. We can't just keep letting these bastards take over while doing *nothing* besides a boycott they don't give a single fuck about.

I've only managed to get my app config stuff copied over from the home folder of my old machine so far, but holy *fuck* is this beast powerful!

Opted to do a fresh install of CachyOS on my new AM5 machine after getting everything installed into a temporary case. (Ended up picking out an Antec Flux SE case, but that won't show up until next Wednesday. Currently making do with this used NZXT H5 case that I absolutely despise... :blobfoxnotamused: )

That means I get to give this new machine its host name~ :blobfoxaww:

Been wearing my regular clothes over said dress the past couple days to keep the rubber shine from getting everywhere, but otherwise I've been squeaky this entire time~ :blobfoxmelthappy:

Also, wearing my pencil cut cargo skirt over the pleated circle skirt has created a sort of rubber petticoat effect that also has proven to be delightful in its own right~

Welp, my new AM5 motherboard arrived and I confirmed it works. Got a laugh out of the bent pins in the socket, as I could visualize almost exactly what happened there.

Picture the original owner as a techbro dropping $6k on a "gaming PC", only to roll a nat-1 on their dex save when they went to install their brand new 9950X3D. The CPU landing corner-first into the socket and them letting out a string of expletives in response. :blobfoxcrylaugh:

Anyways, onto the task of decomissioning and repurposing my newly built AM4 machine like I originally planed to do with Mk.V before it died. Gonna be pulling the SSDs and GPU to transfer over to the new build and otherwise leave everything installed in the case while configuring this one as my new server.

Ended up being invited to a roommate's birthday party yesterday, and I frankly had a rough time. Not for things you'd figure, though. It was a nice venue and the folks there were super friendly and queer.

It was all me. I felt so uncomfortable and out of place, there. Being amongst a bunch of non-furry (let alone therian) queer folks was a vibe that I just didn't mesh with, on top of the venue being cramped and crowded. Then folks were drinking and getting loud, on top of a damn bluetooth speaker playing loud house music in every room...

I ended up becoming so badly anxious and overwhelmed, to the point where I had to have my friends leave early for my sake after being there for nearly two hours. When we got back into the car, I literally broke down crying. Very much grateful that I finally had a dark, quiet place for some reprieve, and that my friends were trying their best to be helpful and supportive in my time of need.

So, yeah... I don't think this fox does well in unfamiliar, crowded urban areas...

I was having a discussion with my roommate last weekend, and she brought up something profound that stuck with me.

In a universe that's inherently cold and uncaring, there are those among us who choose to create warmth and kindness despite that. That's very much something I've been striving to do, and our heart-to-heart convo with said roommate touched on how I've achieved exactly that.

There was a time where I assigned that concept to "humanity", but I've since realized that there are other critters out there who are also capable of that, including myself~

So, I reject my humanity and fully embrace the rubbery inflatable critter that I truly am instead~
