Still relevant, I'm working on a few zines concurrently and I have 178 tabs open.
Shout out to my wife who has moved her comfy chair into the bedroom closet and created a little nest with a fan blowing in where she is playing Breath of the Wild in the dark.
Honestly, I feel like a chump for not having a cozy nook of my own.
My wife just affectionately teased me for making a case for keeping the really good packing materials that came with my AirFanta 3 Pro fan array replacement. I kept trying to explain that it was *really good foam* while she laughed indulgently.
We can recycle it so it's not about avoiding the landfill it's just really good foam.
The box was really good, too.

Took transit to electro and back, four different routes -- three buses and a subway line. Wore an N95 throughout.
Saw maybe 200+ people on transit during that time and saw two people wearing baggy blues, another third person wearing a black surgical below her mouth.
Public health has done such an amazing job getting us to disable and kill ourselves and each other. Like, telling us to give up and do nothing was truly a blockbuster campaign.
Makes me feel like shit.

The crows were out on my street when I walked the dog this morning! There's a murder of crows that nest in a nearby building, and I always get so excited to see them up close. They descended on my house and my neighbour's, perched, and started cawing super loud, while I watched and giggled.
I came back inside and there was one on the roof visible from the skylight, little dinosaur head peeking into my bathroom. It really made my day. I love crows! They're so big and funny and loud and weird.
I hope that calling people "sir," "ma'am," whatever, dies with the boomers. For myself and all the other people who are not legible. I simply want to have my gender pass unremarked upon unless the person is someone I want to befriend or fuck. And like, that's a vanishingly, VANISHINGLY small cohort.
Was feeling low. Went out to get my sick wife some food. Thought, "you know what? I'm due for some good news," and sure enough, the convenience store restocked the Faygo!! They had 60/40, imho one of the world's finest sodas!! And I was like YEP things are coming up for good ol' Evelyn... and the clerk misgendered me 🙃
Yesterday I sold my last remaining amp with a speaker, and today I set up and messed with my first "ampless" rig.
And I'm pumped, because my new setup is going to be so easy. Everything's on my little Pedaltrain Nano board, so it's easy to wrangle. Today I set it up on my desk, so I didn't have to bend down to knob-twiddle and plug things in. And I velcroed everything down so it's nice and secure.
Took a big step to reclaim music-making for myself today.
In the aftermath of most musicians and audiences rushing to return to the pre-2019 status quo, I've gradually accepted that I will likely never play live music -- which was a big part of my life -- again. I doubt I'd ever want to play even a masks-mandatory or outdoor gig. It's been a hard process letting go, but it was time to move forward.

I'm always striving to make my work more accessible. Every printed zine order comes with a DRM-free PDF and a text-only version, lately with more involved image descriptions. OCR-ed text can often be scrambled to hell. One-pagers (1/8th size zines) come with a PNG file so you can print your own. And for "Why I Wear The Mask," for the first time, I included a "dark mode" inverted PDF to avoid eye strain on screens.
If funds are a barrier to access, hmu for a free digital version of any zine!
Finally got some of my newer material up on the shop! If you've been waiting to order some zines, you need wait no longer.

Updating my website I realized that I missed my anniversary!
"Excess Mortality," the first zine I made & distributed since college (& my first since transitioning) was finished July 9, 2025!
Since then I've made 8 more! Five 1/4 size and three one-pagers. I've made dozens of sticker and button designs as well. My buttons rip.
It feels great to have come out of artistic retirement. I'm so excited to keep making cool stuff. Hopefully year 2 will be just as fecund & bountiful.
This came together FAST. A new mini-zine has appeared!
Working on final tweaks and then I'll assemble downloadable versions and get this thing in my shop.
