Hey have you set up, checked and tested your backups? Automated them? Made sure they’re running? Checked the whole cascade works if you have that?
Any backup is infinitely better than none.
If you have ever successfully moved your GoToSocial profile (followers, following, etc.) to a Mastodon instance, I would love to know how you got it to work. I'm having to import my following list to my new Mastodon instance because nothing worked the way the docs said it should, and then just hope for the best that folks will follow me back.

I'm making a move to a new instance. I've been on a GoToSocial instance for a while and it's been wonderful, but I've been wanting to give Mastodon another try to see what all of the new changes are like. Unfortunately, the "official way to move a profile" isn't working so I'm going to have to export/import my following list and hope that you'll all follow me on my new instance. If you choose not to, I'll completely understand (but I hope that you will). I'm going to keep this instance going for a few weeks or so.

I was going down the hole on digital badges as a way to give donors to the GF some recognition. The landscape doesn't look very good from what I can tell.
Maybe we need to create our own digital badging amongst free and open source projects? Maybe I should talk with the @osi - sounds like something up their alley.
