I live in a rural area with 1 variety store in the nearest village.
They order in the best sorghum gluten free bread from a bakery over 160 km away. It's tasty and dense but not too heavy, perfect for sandwiches or toast.
The same bakery makes cookies, pies, cakes and cinnamon buns.*

I was going to write something about the problems this planet is facing... But I realised that it wasn't worth the effort... Because of one simple word that sums up the majority of the people living right now.

'Convenience'

A lot of the people out there are lazy, selfish and entitled people who care more for their own 'convenience' than they do anything else.

They don't care about things outside of their front door, and they won't until it's kicked down and they're finally affected.

So I could have written something else here... preached to the echo chamber that is the fediverse... which is full of many like minded people as I.

We don't need a small change being made by a small number of people... we sadly need a global uprising. No rights have ever been won peacefully, they've been fought for and people have died in those fights.

But everyone needs to fight... and that fight starts by putting your 'convenience' aside for once... By being a pain in the arse to every single person you know who uses their convenience as an excuse for not doing anything... call them out, shame them... because asking politely doesn't work. Pointing out truth and facts doesn't work... Make them ashamed to be the lazy, entitled and selfish people that they've become... because people won;t change unless forced to face the harsh reality of the evil they embrace.

Meanwhile... I'll be over here screaming into the abyss as usual hoping that just one person will listen, just one person will make a change to their lives, just one person will try to convince others to do the same.

Otherwise... we're all fucked. No one gets out alive, not even the ultrarich in their bunkers.... under millions of tons of concrete that the rest of the world will pour over their tombs.
