#Furious really is incredible - like a female-centric remix of The Silence of the Lambs - to the point I'm half wishing I'd waited till it was all out and binged it.
My one incredibly minor complaint about the new Spider-Man film is that the reveal of one character's identity means we're watching something episodic instead of a by-and-large self contained movie.
As I behave like we've got a water meter anyway, I have no idea why I waited until they became mandatory to get one installed.
David Jonsson really is phenomenally talented, but I'd have been So Thrilled if they'd announced rumoured Damson Idris instead.
I know the whole fandom isn't sold on the Secret Hideout era, but I've loved a lot of it and stan so, so hard for Prodigy in particular (massively underrated) so I'm simultaneously disappointed at how it's finishing and the way it feels like it's being abandoned, but also excited for who and what's to come.

I thought the new live action #Spiderman movie was great and possibly the best of Tom Holland's since the first and possibly even better than that one (none since have touched the first two Raimis for me). After so much soulless Marvel dreck, it was lovely seeing better effects, fewer of them and a much stronger focus on characters and feelings.

It probably doesn't bear to be thought about too much, but God I loved it. I'm not sure how I feel about more novelty episodes (even though I reckon they'll be great in their own right) but this felt like the series got its pre-strike groove back.
What I don't love about later Chris Nolan movies - and I'm honestly not a hater - is that despite his obviously extraordinary talent at spectacle, his films are stuffed with people talking in themes and ideas without any sense of characterisation and with a bit of unwanted self-importance.
Absolutely flabbergasted at how good the first two episodes of #Furious are; I'm clearly going to have to rewatch everything Liz Meriwether has ever done, after Dying for Sex last year and now this.
I've never cared for Himesh Patel in anything before, but since he was so spectacular in the first episode of Station Eleven (which I'm finally able to catch up with) I'm clearly going to have to keep an eye out.
Licorice Pizza at the cinema tonight and God, it was wonderful. I couldn't quite love it the first time because of what I thought was an interesting racist conceit in the middle, but when I realised the joke was on that character, I've loved it more every time since.
