They've declared war on our fruit trees, and now they've even moved on to the tomatoes growing inside our recycled tyre planters. This is the reality of backyard farming you celebrate every harvest, but you also battle curious animals every single day. The struggle is real, but giving up is never an option.

When transplanting grafted seedlings of any type, avoid planting them deeper than they were in the nursery bag. Fill the soil only up to the original soil level from the plastic bag. Planting too deep can cause stem problems and reduce the seedling's performance.
Also, when applying mulch, make sure the dry grass does not touch the stem. Leave a small gap around the plant. This helps prevent stem rot and reduces the risk of stem burn caused by heat generated as the mulch decomposes.
