In German we have a saying that translates to "the house doesn't lose anything".

My house seems not to know that. I dug out both circles of fiber from the toot above not two weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I placed the second one next to my spinning place on the floor.

It's not there. And not in any place I could reasonably placed it otherwise.

I spun this yarn a few years ago but did not have a plan. So I improvised this sweater in an effort to reduce my stash. I love high-necked sweaters but will randomly get issues with stuff touching my neck. So buttons. I like the asymmetry of the neck when open.

For #WIPWednesday I have a handspun sock with a big ruffle. Luckily Icelandic bindoff of 234 stitches with a crochet hook is quite fast. Also I plied and finished three more bumps of the super squishy brown yarn. I want to give the colourwork sweater a lilac lace edging, because why not. So I'll process some dyed Clun Forest and light locks of Rouge/Tex fleece from my stash to card, blend and spin later.

Taking a stab in the dark here in case I have any German followers who want to help us out. My wife and I are looking for a new apartment in the Cologne-Bonn-Leverkusen area. She has a job in Pulheim so something in that area would be great but not necessary.

We are both creative people who keep to ourselves mostly. As for pets we just have one shy but well-behaved cat.

We don’t mind renting a room in the short term but we eventually want to get our own place.
