To anyone familiar with Alzheimer's disease: is it true that AD patients can have phases where they remember everything properly, and then go back to having forgotten those things?
Is there any research done on that aspect? I don't even know how to call it...

Edit: maybe "temporary lucidity"? I found a new york times article on "terminal lucidity" although it seems anectodal and I'm more interested in recurrent episodes during the progression of the disease..

If you have ever successfully moved your GoToSocial profile (followers, following, etc.) to a Mastodon instance, I would love to know how you got it to work. I'm having to import my following list to my new Mastodon instance because nothing worked the way the docs said it should, and then just hope for the best that folks will follow me back.

The climate news is not looking good.

I am planning on doubling down on carbon storage at home and at work. For me that looks like mulch, biochar, rock dust, no dig, perennial veg.

Food security: keep adding to the seed library, sharing plants, sharing crops.

Emission reduction: still not flying, still no car, more plant based diet.

On my own it won’t make much difference, but there are lots of us who do care & every bit of carbon not emitted will make a difference.
