We have a trainer coming out next week, and now I have one more data point share with her about what worries me about this dog.

She's ordinarily so quiet and complaisant and willing to listen that this behavior shook me a bit.

and we got her back inside. But she was really FOCUSED on something. (I never saw it, but it's not at all uncommon for neighborhood cats to be in the yard of our neighbor.)
Honestly, it was a little upsetting to me. I have a tiny fear that she might go over our fence if she wanted the cat bad enough. She's big enough she could probably do it fairly easily IF she wanted to. I haven't seen her try it, but...

Well. I start to think I know Serra dog, and then I discover: No, I don't.

Went out as usual after supper to poop (not on leash). She must have seen a cat in the woods in the neighbor's yard, because all of a sudden, I didn't exist anymore. She was racing from one corner of the yard to another, racing to a spot where she can see more into the neighbor's yard, racing back to the corner. Nothing I said made any difference to her. My husband heard me shouting and came out, and she finally stopped

Orthopedist seems happy with myprogress with my shoulder. I can forego the sling a bit more, but still not much lifting at all for a while.

I got to see the x-ray images of my injury. I now know what an avulsion fracture of a humeral head looks like in an x-ray image.

Honestly, I think I was slightly happier not knowing this.

My name is Anders Österberg, I'm a 53 year old Swede.

This is the first time I use social media, which is pretty funny since I'm not a social person, but I feel I have a few things to comment on in these dark times.

Fascism is, as always, the main problem, and I think it's far from certain that humanity will survive this era of stupidity and regression.

But what do I know? I'm just a pessimist.

And ISTG that Ingles has the BEST donuts around.

Had a nice bonding moment with the cashier at Ingles. She came over to self-checkout where I was, waiting (I think) to see if I needed help. Our bonding was over our different shoulder injuries, with much sympathy for aches and pains as we get older and mutual wishes that we'd both heal up and generally get better.
Sometimes just a little sharing like that helps a lot.

I’m James (he/him), I’m based in London, and I do a lot of things relating to live coding and crafts.

- I organise workshops and activities around pattern-based things, like lacemaking, live coding and origami, for London Pattern Club.
- I make things using hand knitting and machine knitting, and I dabble in other textile crafts like weaving, crochet and lacemaking.
- I’ve written about crafts and coding for some small press publications (A Yarn And Fibre Publication #2, Softissues).
- I’ve live coded music and visuals under the alias collapse, and I’ve done some teaching and workshop facilitation around live coding for Peckham Digital.
- I currently work as a software developer, and I did my Masters at the Department of Digital Humanities at KCL.
