I feel it tries too hard to lock people into their ecosystem, even hiding shipping info unless you get the Pay app.

Finding out their CEO is a turd only re-enforces my belief to avoid them.

But that's the thing, you can't trust the Democrats either, not because they won't keep their promises, but because if Republicans take power again any agreements Dem's made are also void.

Unless Democrats use their power in 2027 to impeach Trump and prosecute everyone that's committed crimes (assuming they get the house and senate, and assuming the US is still a Democracy) the world's trust in the USA is done.

As I age, I realize the biggest differences in the various generations is the age at which they realized what they were being told was a lie.

For some it was in their 40s or 50s. For others it was later. For Gen Z it seems it is their teens.

The last time a generation that young had its pulse on the world around them was the 1960s.

I hope the power of that knowledge helps them make a better world. The sixties saw some massive changes for the good, before the pendulum started to swing back.

It is increasingly looking like it is coming down to a choice between data and humanity.

Data is winning at the moment.

I remember a brief moment in the very early 90s when it seemed the world might actually achieve peace and global prosperity. The wall was down, the Cold War was over, Nelson Mandela was freed, there was progress on peace in the Middle East.

Then Clinton got a blow job, America lost its shit and we are where we are now.

Except we've built a capitalistic system in nonprofits, as well, where a "CEO" of a nonprofit is to be rewarded with enough money to maintain their yacht et al so they can keep up with the for-profit "CEO" class.
