It is ostensibly a Libreboot installation service, but I provide service for all other coreboot distros as well - for example, I can provide MrChromebox installation on Chromebooks.

I want to expand my send-in service, so I've re-written the page to more clearly explain what it offers. I do lots of custom jobs for customers all the time, via this service.

If you have a coreboot-compatible device, I can service it. Where feasible, I also have it added to Libreboot for future send-ins, otherwise I install whichever coreboot firmware the customer prefers, e.g. Heads, MrChromebox, Dasharo.

I normally just sell computers with Libreboot pre-installed. Libreboot provides better security and flexibility compared to proprietary BIOS/UEFI firmware; it's the same argument as using Linux instead of Windows.

I wish to expand the use of send-ins, so I hope the new page is clear.

I quite disagree with posts along the lines of "You should self-host your mail server" (explicitly not linking to it).

Quite apart from the fact that it's a royal pain in the ass and doing so requires constant maintenance, if you do do it, I hope you have planned how your family and friends, whom you've graciously invited to use your self-hosted mailserver, are going to cope the day you fall down dead (and that day will come).

youtube now has a strategy to force you watch all add no matter what. before, it was possible to block the ad and proceed to the video. now, not only after the block you still have to watch the ad, half of the ads you cannot block anymore.

seems a good way to (finally) make me stop using youtube for good.

The open internet really is making a comeback IMO. Around 90% of my personal communications now happen over federated networks (mostly Matrix).

Blogging has never felt more alive. I subscribe to ~100 RSS feeds.

We're all here on the Fediverse, and the UX of clients and the web has improved to the point that it's better than the walled gardens!

Heck, I even set up an IRC bridge on my Matrix server last night 😂

Even with all the terrible stuff going on in the world, there's a bright side!

A design choice I decided very early to follow is to embed a native green threads approach, just like Erlang does (although I'm not using any VM or garbage collector.)

Having concurrency and distributed computation native from day 1 is my expectation, and I think will improve a lot programmer's usage of the language.

TL;DR: the heat shield has major issues during re-entry but the program is going ahead anyways because there's no way to fix given the program constraints. I am curious what the rationale for continuing anyways from NASA's angle, but this seems like the sort of thing where going ahead leads to accidents.
