I’ve been learning how to work safely and effectively with LLM-assisted programming. I’ve now “written” programs in two languages that I don’t know: Lua, which I knew zero about previously, and Perl. I had never written Perl, but I had laboriously read some to fix the occasional blocking issue. These programs have genuinely improved my life.

Knowing how to do a thing is not that valuable anymore. Knowing that a thing can be done is still super important.

I have checklists for groceries, for travel, for things to take to my son's baseball games, for camping and more. I use AnyList (https://www.anylist.com), an app that works on almost everything. I'm 52, and was diagnosed with ADHD in my 40's. I have a LOT of coping strategies. I have 24 AirTags on various things. (Once you get past 15 or 20 it can get kind of weird.) I don't put anything other than drinks in my refrigerator drawers, because if I put something that spoils there, I'll forget about it until it goes bad. And of course everything is on autopay.
