I've adopted a formal policy of streaming the Explore.org Puffin Landing Ledge on the TV behind me in my home office as my official background for online meetings.

A large group of puffins taken from a screen capture of the explore.org livestream of a puffin hangout in Maine, USA. Several are looking straight ahead at the camera while others mingle in the background. Maximum cuteness.

@tayfonay I believe I have had the puffin loafing ledge stream playing at least 16 hours a day (if not 24 hours a day) for about the last six weeks.

It is to the point that if I don't hear those little bird sounds, I can't get to sleep!

It is also to the point that if I'm not watching the channel, I can still hear the bird sounds in my head.

    Best ear worm ever!

Occasionally I'll switch over to another puffin channel, but I really enjoy the loafing ledge. I get to see murres, razorbills, puffins AND ducks along with various smaller sea birds, and there always seems to be somebody running the camera during the day.

Last week the big hullabaloo was that decoy that they put out. All the humans in chat were wondering what the heck it was. I only saw one puffin interact with it.
