@alice One of the weird things in the posts of his that I've seen as I've watched this unfold is how he's brought up how the SWF is there to "make the Fediverse better for everyone." ... So a non-profit with a board of three people, one of whom is currently struggling with ideas of informed consent, is... here to make the Fediverse better? How do they determine that? What does 'better' mean, especially if this ~service~ is to "improve" the Fediverse (but people are pointing out how easy it is to weaponise in very obvious ways)?

It's really discomforting.
