@HakeemG @dtm @datarama @harold that plumber in an F150 uses the F150, though. You can’t haul a hot water heater and 150 ft of galvanized pipe in a Tesla. Or do you think it’d be better to manufacture an entire different vehicle for him to use while he’s not working? Reuse used to be a big part of the whole recycle idea, this is what it looks like in practice. They have transportation so they use that. All his fuel for a year is still less than one weekend cruise

JFC, stop trying to gaslight everyone, we all live in this country. That asshole with the Dodge Hemi isn't buying it because he cares about the climate. The American people have consistently chosen to destroy the environment, end of story.

Regulation is definitely an issue. Inexpensive, small trucks would likely be popular, but Kei trucks like the Subaru Sambar are either illegal or subject to substantial restrictions in most US states.
