Your spam filters are probably clogged with notifications from PayPay and Docusign and a million other places telling you that you just bought GeekSquad or an iPad or McAfee.

I suddenly realized why they struck me so obviously as being spam despite coming from legit companies:

They list a phone number to call.

Shit, man, ain't no company today answering the phone!! Only scammers answer the phone! Real companies hide that shit like it's the cost center it is.
