Got the first bison done for the June block of the National Museum of the American Indian quilt-along.

Definitely need to practice the edge stitching more, but I'm rather pleased at my first full applique attempt. I have 4 more bison to do.

Super loud party a few houses away, taking up all the street parking. Probably a graduation party.

I'm all for it; so little chances to be happy about things I will vicariously share in their enjoyment and it's not going to kill me to park a little farther away than usual once in a while.

¹ the current record holder used laminated Master locks with no security pins, but I didn't want all the comments on my video to be "Master lock sucks" jokes, so I used Brinks instead.

A replica Roman odometer. At the end of each Roman mile, a gear wheel releases a metal or hardwood ball into a box causing a quite loud noise. The balls in the box are counted when the desired point is reached.

I finished the Look At My Holes top by James N Watts just in time for the Pride parade today. I used Kelbourne Woolens Mojave yarn, which is 60% cotton, 40% linen. For a yarn that gets so much hype and is recommended by the pattern, I can't say I like it because of how much it sheds. I'm still happy with the overall end product though since it's perfect for 80F/26C today.
