This is probably the most concise and compelling analysis I’ve read about the *practical* differences between the BSD and GLP license approaches.

Really, I shouldn’t get greedy. She’s already the product of an experimental medical procedure à la Steve Rogers and she’s got a 50% chance of having picked up her dad’s unprecedented mutation; how many superhero origin stories does she need?
6yo has been on-and-off afraid of spiders recently, but also watched Into the Spider-Verse last week.
Me: “Want to check the mail?”
6yo: “If there’s no spiders or webs, yes.”
Me: <points at stereo playing Spider-Man> “But spiders are your friends now!”
6yo: <rolls eyes>
Me: “Maybe if you get bit you’ll get special powers.”
6yo: “Not in this world.”
Me: “Oh, that’s not where special powers come from in this world?”
6yo: “Nope.”
Me: “Where do they come from in this world?”
6yo: “Your heart.”
😳😭
Each broom agent can spawn additional, autonomous broom agents, each with their own pails. This allows apprentices to accelerate monotonous water-fetching tasks and save their time and energy for more interesting and useful work
Anybody in the #pdx area want a rooster? I have one to rehome. He’s been great (friendly; good defender/deterrent type) for years but (possibly related to recently getting 3 new birds) has gone after my 6yo a couple times now and we’re done with that.

This is Monday, you can still come.
Also, I made set pieces! 🤣
I have invented television.
(I should’ve set the upper bound a bit lower, but I’m observing rates over 100x as often as not.)
I got a new broadband connection last weekend. It’s way better than my previous ine (although still not as good as what I had in 2016), but also more asymetrical than any I’ve had. So i’m curious: how much faster is your downlink than your uplink?
Anyone in the #pdx area have 5 black folding (or otherwise small, light weight, and very similar looking) chairs I could borrow for a bit? We need them for a stage production. Something like these:
I have my first ever butcher block style glue up sitting in clamps right now, and I’m very nervous about it. I have 4 clamps for 36 inches, which should be okay but never feels like enough, and the whole thing is made from reclaimed wood and I’m very worried about how straight any of it is. We’ll see how it looks in the morning.
Yes, I’m aware that this is another American self-inflicted problem and that euro pallets are a thing.
I’m in the middle of a few hours (spread across a few days) breaking down some pallets, and good lord are we just not allowed to standardize on anything? I have six pallets, and five different designs.

@tootapp @MonaApp Hi folks; both Mona and Toot! are doing this. Behavior is the same: in the displayed text, it's an http:// link, and if I copy the link out, it's an http:// link, and Safari on the same device follows that fine, but when I tap on it in either app it converts it to a https:// link. Any idea what's up?

My partner saw this play, “PUSH: Black Mamas Changing the Culture of Birth”, about disparities in medical care for black mothers a few months ago, found it super compelling, and has been putting a lot of work into getting it to come to OHSU.

It’s at #OHSU but open to all, if you or someone in your life is in the #pdx area and interested in issues around racial justice in healthcare.
