“Israel is continuing to reshape Gaza through force, entrenching military control and accelerating the erasure of Palestinian civilian life even under the cover of a ceasefire”
Satellite images show that Israeli occupation forces are continuing to demolish Palestinian homes and infrastructure in Gaza despite the ceasefire in place since October 10.
The demolitions are concentrated in areas under Israeli control behind the so-called “yellow line,” particularly in Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods in Gaza City, as well as in Rafah and agricultural lands east of Deir el-Balah.
Legal experts warn that the destruction of civilian property during a ceasefire violates the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits demolitions by an “occupying power”, as such large-scale destruction cannot be legally justified.
