My employer sent a link where we could choose a Christmas gift. One of the categories was games but the thumbnail was some "party game" I had no interest in. After going thru all the categories and not really knowing what to choose, I clicked on the #games category to see what there. To my surprise #MyCity roll and write was listed so I picked that. About to try it for the first time with a iced shaken espresso while I wait for the kid to get out of MMA.

I am really bad at #ArkNova solo. Ive always been super slow at getting conservation points and this is a huge disadvantage in the solo game. I think I did better than usual last night, but not good enough.

A look at my November plays. Not shocking that my newest pickups (Origin Story, Finspan, and Formaggio [expansion for Fromage]) took the top spots. Played games of Stalk Exchange and Combo with friends, neither which I had heard of before.

Lastly, played some Fairy Ring with my daughter and tried Disney Sidekicks, which we did not enjoy as much as Chronicles of Light.

Finally got to play Meadow! I think it's fair to call this a "cozy" game. Easy-to-learn rules that aren't fiddley, light-to-medium decisions in a tight game with lots of options that don't punish players for mistakes, all with great art.
