I rediscovered an old archive of my wiki, which used OddMuse, a wiki engine written in Perl and developed by @kensanata (the good old time)

So I decided to write a Python converter to bring it back to life. I’ll probably discover that 80% of the content is useless, but the remaining 20% might still be worth preserving.

The converter is crappy but it works.

humanizer

"A 12B model that rewrites AI-written drafts (emails, essays, reports, forum posts; English and Chinese) so they read like a person wrote them. It is trained to keep every number, unit, date, name and quote and to add nothing, and it runs locally."

A question for fellow open-source maintainers:

Imagine someone uses AI to redevelop your tool in Rust. The result barely works, but they reuse your project’s name and repeatedly jump into discussions about the existing project to promote their version.

How would you handle that? I’m usually a nice guy, but I still think that if someone keeps crashing your party, at some point you’re allowed to remind them they weren’t actually invited.

The AI police are truly doing essential work: accusing a photograph of being AI-generated when it was shot with a real camera, printed by hand as a cyanotype, and manually processed. It seems “AI-generated!” is just the new “my kids could do it.”

How mature is this repository? My long quest for open-source software metrics

When I discover an open-source software project for the first time, how can I estimate whether it is mature, healthy and usable?

I just released OSSTRL - Open Source Software Technology Readiness Level to help me calculating the maturity of open-source projects.

Maybe the AI bots trying to find endlessly new content on my blog post? Drive me these questions « Is human generated content what AI bot are only interesting in? Does this mean that human contribution is the only way to keep the system running before it collapse or read its peak? Is the AI tagging at the end only useful for bot? and not human after all? All the human text are so valuable that AI system burn it after reading. »
