To follow up on the situation where non consensual NHS AI got my medical notes wrong: it is possible to have AI removed from your NHS note taking that's on by default. You have to request it in writing from your GP. I have now managed after a request in Feb, and have it confirmed in writing. Recommend you do to!!!

But mainly close your windows now, and only open them again after the cooler temps about 8pm tonight. I walk 3x a day and right now all I see are open windows. This just brings in the heat, so go shut them and all your blinds and curtains :)

#heatwave tips! I grew up in Cyprus where it was often this temp or above. Here's what you need to do today: close your windows by 9am, feels counter intuitive but your home right now is cooler than it's going to be outside very soon. Close all blinds, and if you have rooms that heat up more than others shut off those doors to isolate the heat into that room only. Fans are good and with a wet cloth in front also excellent. Use umbrella when you're outside, helps keep cool and against some UV.

I know recruiters are generally diabolical, but I've been doing this 20 years ethically and adding value to people's experiences. 100+ recommendations on LinkedIn if you'd like to take their word for it :) but to keep the good ones in business you do have to work through us. We only get paid if we make the hire. Else we do a lot of work and don't get paid a penny, that's why lots of "kind" recruiters go out of business and you're left with sales people who can handle the brutality of the job.

I took my post about hiring for Oxford Uni down because the direct job application was hard linked in replies to apply directly.

I am a recruiter who breaks the mold for bad recruiting practices, I love posting as much as I can openly about who I hire for and salaries etc, but it is a huge leap of faith, because every application that goes directly instead of with me is competition for me getting paid at all.
