another thing about #Israel… (by Barry Deutsch)

    https://leftycartoons.com/2026/10/23/nobody-in-israel-said-that/

I can hate what Israel does without hating Jews. Never understood why that should need a to be connected?

And Germany declaring things like "unconditional solidarity" wasn't a usefull stance for the USA and isn't for any other state. There always have to be conditions! Sometimes it might be better to not spell them out, but it's still a lie to claim so.

This comic has seven panels. The first six panels feature stark black-and-white caricatures of Israeli political and military figures, each accompanied by a quotation. PANEL 1 An extreme close-up of Major General Ghassan Alian, seen from below. He’s drawn with a bald head, heavy eyebrows, and an angry, scowling expression. ALIAN: “Human animals must be treated as such. No electricity, no water, only destruction.” PANEL 2 Knesset member Simcha Rothman is shown from the chest up, wearing glasses, a suit, and a tie. He has a wide, toothy grin, and his eyes are disturbingly wide. ROTHMAN: “The children are our enemies.” PANEL 3 A close-up of Defense Minister Israel Katz. He has neatly combed hair, angry eyebrows, and a sneery expression. KATZ: “Israel’s policy is clear and no humanitarian aid will enter Gaza.” PANEL 4 Knesset member Michal Woldiger is shown, with long hair hanging down on either side of her face. WOLDIGER: “We will cleanse Gaza of every potential murderer, and everyone there is a potential murderer.” PANEL 5 Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, seen from a dramatic low angle. His head is tilted back, and his mouth is unnaturally wide open. He has short springy hair, a beard, and a collared shirt. SMOTRICH: “Gaza will be totally destroyed.” PANEL 6 National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, shown in profile. He’s wearing round glasses and has short bangs and pursed lips. He points one finger as if making a point. BEN-GVIR: “There are people there not worthy of life. They shouldn’t live. They’re not even people.” PANEL 7 On a city sidewalk, two people are arguing. On the left is a short, heavyset man holding a protest sign reading “End the genocide.” He is wincing back from the man on the right. On the right is a taller man with dark hair, wearing a collared short-sleeved shirt and brown pants. He’s leaning aggressively toward the protester as he shouts. TALLER MAN: No one in Israel’s government supports genocide! TINY KICKER PANEL A woman with curly hair in a bun talks to Barry the Cartoonist. Barry shrugs. WOMAN: Was it hard finding six quotes for this cartoon? BARRY: It was hard picking only six.
