    @FranceskAlbs @futzle Actually, accents on capital letters are used for the signs "République" in Paris, see the capture from street view.
    But all the rest is true. And the signs are white, not brown.

    @dl2jml Oh, nice find, thank you. It always bothered me that accents got left off capital letters, but perhaps my information is a generation or two out of date.
