A visit to Kirkenes for work, had a few hours to look around and check out the town. Just between winter and summer tourist season, not much activity going on so Autumn felt very calm up here.
here Norway borders with Russia, so the border is not far away. Before Russias military invasion of Ukraine Russians was welcome here, now it seems the border has been more strict. according to a taxi driver I talked with Russians still passes throgh the border to go to the Airport to enter the rest of Europe, but I have not seen or heard any on my flights.
