For years I sent my brothers back in England a bottle or 2 of NZ wine for Christmas. There was a company that specialised in this, had a wide variety of NZ wines in stock in the UK, and would accept my NZ credit card as payment.
2 years ago they got bought by some other company, that folded right before Christmas.
Last year, the company I tried to place an order with billed my credit card but never shipped the wine. I was able to get my money back, but I am now the brother that hasn't sent a Christmas present in 2 years.
So now I'm looking at *reputable* online wine dealers in the UK and not a single one of them will accept a cc billing address outside the UK. What was the fucking point of my whole career building internet stuff if it stops at Dover?
