i dont know anything about the real history of US gangsters in the 30s 40s, it could just be a movie thing. but it is so evocative i love it

it also makes me think of a bill hader never aired snl sketch about Casey Kasem protecting his son from the mob "if they try anything ill come at them like a Lebanese torpedo"
i briefly worked with a nephew of Casey Kasem. he could do the voice perfectly
