    @vantablack i feel like a healthy layer of insulating material is probably called for around the actual ice. like some kind of silicone. or rather a whole array of silicone enclosures of differing thicknesses for comparison. at which point it's a whole physics experiment. THIS IS THE KIND OF PHYSICS I WOULD BE DOING IF I WERE NOT HELD HOSTAGE BY THE EMPIRE

    @dirtwizard666 @vantablack Yeah, gonna want a silicone, PVC thermoplastic, or natural rubber sleeve on those. Like a hot/cold water bottle, but a leetle bit thinner. You want it to feel cold, but not enough to damage mucous membranes by prolonged contact.

    Actually, might be better if factory sealed and filled with encapsulated phase-change material with melting point at 5 °C.
