@daringfireball Do you have the skinny on whether Tim Cook and Jony Ive retain any affinity for each other? Or maybe there wasn't much to begin with. I recall that Ive is close with Laurene Powell Jobs, and I imagine she must maintain some proximity to Apple. I don't know if there's a transitive property at play or if she's a friend to each but not a conduit between them.
