Does the concept of "code switching" not exist where you are? Everyone talks to people differently based on various factors: relationship, race, if there's a language barrier, etc etc

I don't talk to people like I talk to my dog. Because they're not my dog. So why would I talk to other people like I talk to a chatbot?
