    Again:
    1. Trump's most popular policy among his supporters *by far* are his "immigration policies"

    2. His immigration policies are by definition, ethnic cleansing policies. They were devised by white nationalists who self-described their sole purpose as "turning the USA into a white ethnostate."

    3. White American voters are the only group of US voters that support these ethnic cleansing policies at more than 50%. Black, Asian, non-white Hispanic, and Indigenous people all reject these ethnic cleansing policies.

    4. Trump supporters are willing to give up every other policy to make sure that this one happens, as they view it as existential. They are willing to pay to do this.

And not only did Democrats in critical 2024 races not push back on GOP lies and scapegoating they ran "tough on immigration" light ads that had the effect of amplifying and confirming the lies.
And they either did nothing or confirmed GOP attacks on the Trans community. Idiocy.

What they could and should have done is help run ads like these from Amplify Freedom (a Freedom Over Fascism consortium effort) all over the place -

It would be good if liberal white homeowners, with surging real estate prices, whose kids go to good schools funded by high property taxes, in nice neighborhoods with cleaned tree lined streets and polite police keeping our jails and courts running at capacity dealing with criminals and whatnot, could understand that sort of transaction

Unfortunately the idea of supremacy as an inelastic good white people will pay anything for is completely foreign reasoning. It's unique to MAGA

    @mekkaokereke
    Thank you.
The focus in #Seattle is to form Community Defense groups. Their focus is ICE activity. It's been a bit hard for me. I want to actively resist the Maga's broadband attack. Instead there is a focus on just one thing: Deportation. It's particularly frustrating because there is very little that can be reasonably accomplished and even that is requiring substantial effort.
But your post reminds me why this is the focus here.

@mekkaokereke I believe you on 1, 2, and 4. But the survey you linked doesn't show 3. Here's for example page 77. Arresting and deporting thousands of illegal immigrants is stronhly or somewhat supported by 54% Whites, 51% Blacks, 39% Hispanics. The pattern is the same across most of the immigration section. To be honest, this was the most heartbreaking part of 2024 for me as an immigrant in the US.

Fortunately / unfortunately, this is one of those questions whose answer changes *a lot* depending on how you phrase it.

If you asked most Black voters in 2024 if they supported deporting thousands of illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes? Many would say "Yes! But most illegal immigrants don't commit violent crimes! It's not millions of people. It's thousands. And current laws already go after them. That's not what Trump is talking about. He's trying to go after all of them."

So if you ask the question, "Do you approve or disapprove of deporting thousands of illegal immigrants?" Many more Black people will say yes than you would think.

You can see the difference in the 2026 answers to the more specific question: "Do you approve or disapprove of the way Trump is handling immigration?" Compare only 18% of Black people approving, to half of white people approving, and 30% of Hispanic people approving. Also of note: ~half of the Hispanic people in the US, are white.

@mekkaokereke Also, let's face it, it's just plain f***ing stupid. It's not immigrants that are 'taking your jobs' it's AI and outsourcing to other countries. All their bigotry against immigrants is really doing is using our tax dollars to them to the countries we sent the jobs to.

Then again, all racism is stupid. Why would anyone reduce their potential group of friends, business contracts, etc based on the cover of the book? And 'racial purity'... That's just code for inbred.
