"How can I share the story of a place...?"

The project that became "Dreams of Amarna" began nearly thirty years ago, when I first read Mary Chubb's book "Nefertiti Lived Here". It provoked a whirlwind of ideas and images that I became desperate to pull out of my head and into the world.

Stitch by stitch and piece by piece, with silk, with cotton, with linen, and with gold, I found myself retelling the ancient stories discovered in the archaeology as well as the stories of the archaeologists themselves..

Quite the adventure, as it turned out...
