    Dammit all!

    Or was that all the dams? 🤷

    I put the mock on by bragging about my riding. 😡 I've done 3-4 short rides, but it's been a month since a 50km ride.

    Anyway it was GLORIOUS today, so I rode the Oaks again. School hols, but no kids. I saw close to 20 people riding up, & later saw most of them riding back down.😁

    My knee went wonky, though. No, not the already dicky one, of course not. As if. I needed all my Es, as I couldn't put in enough grunt on my own without sooking.

    A blue and yellow eMTB leans against one of many trees on the other side of Woody Pear dam, a small firefighting dam off the Oaks firetrail. It's nearly empty. A large clump of reeds grows in the foreground. The water reflects the surrounding bushland.
    The Oaks dam sits in a small bush valley, and is even dryer. It's largely overgrown. There's some water, but not enough to be useful for firefighting. Birds and animals don't care.

    Oh, I ran out of space, how unusual... (waffling)

    Back to my opening point, on the way back I dropped into Woody Pear dam, Oaks dam, Wheel Gully dam, & an unnamed dam. I couldn't remember if Toby's Glen has a dam, & didn't look. 🤷 All are simple dirt mound firefighting dams, most are low.

    I had a great time, of course, but my knee hurts. I'm wearing an elastic support, & will probably moan for days.

    A blue and yellow eMTB leans against a tree in front of Wheel Gully dam. It's the largest dam along the Oaks firetrail, and is surrounded by natural bushland. A tree has fallen in. The water reflects surrounding natural bushland.
    A small dam, unnamed, near the Woodford end of the Oaks firetrail. It's nearly full to overflowing with muddy water. Like the others, surrounded by natural bushland on a clear sunny day. Some blue sky is visible.

    @thefathippy congrats on the big effort, sorry your knee is complaining, I know that one well. It does look like a great day to have been out though

    @stufromoz

    Thanks 🙂

    Yep, it really was a fantastic day in the bush. 😁 My knee? I'll survive to moan another day! 😂
