I find the option to tip tweets on TwitterX totally bizarre, for instance.
But you do get hostility towards self-promotion on Fedi, which is sad, and I think reach is the biggest factor for professional creators who don't rely on ads because you need to reach a certain amount of people as not everyone will become a patron.

Myself is still trying to find Artists&Crafters that i could commission for a number of projects, but they seem to be practically entirely absent on Fedi

My assumption they have all been repulsed from Fedi when they started to show their work here and were hit by constant bashing of "Fedi is no place for commercializing"

I know some people on here who sew, but I don't know if they take commissions.
People cheer when Vivaldi and Threema are active in the Fediverse but if a freelance creator promote their work there's quickly a self-appointed Fedi policeman.
