    @LeslieBurns When we were little kids, my stepsister got bitten by a bat overnight that had flown down the chimney in her room. She was fine, but a rather freaked out and needed rabies shots.

    I would have made a LOT more vampire jokes if she wasn't traumatized by the whole thing.

    @croyle I've had a fear of bats getting caught in my hair since I was a kid. So, this story of waking up to a bat on his face was bad enough....rabies and death are just morbid gravy.

    @LeslieBurns I’ve always been fascinated by them, did a project on them in grade 4, so knew that they wouldn’t fly into my hair. I was once outdoors with a friend and his telescope and bats were around, some whizzing between our legs. It was amazing watching them. I did have a childhood fear of dragonflies because older kids told me they would sew people’s lips together. One day, I realized I never saw anyone with sewn lips, then became fascinated by them. :) @croyle
