    Yesterday in , on the steps of the Capitol where protest is currently not allowed (!), an active duty officer in the deliberately broke the law to honor his oath of service. He called for the removal of Trump, and he wore his uniform to do it.

    Rep. Al Green, my favorite member of Congress, and the Removal Coalition stood with him, as did a crowd of DC protesters.

    Congressman Al Green, Major Jason Paul Watson, and Removal Coalition founder Jessica Denson stand together outside the US Capitol with a sign that says "REMOVE THE REGIME."

    Removal Coalition says:

    "INCREDIBLE. Today Air Force Major Jason Paul Watson made history as the first active duty officer in the military to call for Trump’s impeachment and removal from office. We are honored that he chose us to make this reveal happen, and humbled by the outpouring of support for his heroism and sacrifice of a 17-year military career."

    "Today could not have happened without the support of legendary congressman @repalgreen and our founder @jessicadenson07, who organized every detail with care. Both are heroes in their own right. Please join us in thanking them.

    "Major Watson is currently detained after his arrest on the Capitol steps, and a legal defense fund has been set up by members of his organization, Defenders of Our Republic.

    "The greatest thing you can do to make sure his sacrifice is not in vain is honor his call to action. Amplify his story. Mass mobilize with the explicit demand: . Put unrelenting pressure on members of Congress to both file articles of impeachment and FORCE VOTES now. Detailed instructions are at removetheregime.com/ "

    For those not in the USA: here, service members are not supposed to wear their uniform for a political protest, and they are not supposed to criticize the Commander in Chief. Also, the fascists have tried to restrict protest around the Capitol, although apparently they were fine with January 6.

    He was arrested by fashy local police and will face discipline as a military officer.

    We have to show up for him, given what he has done for us.

    @TYB
    There have been other active duty service members who bravely said this in uniform, certainly! He might be the first officer? Or maybe they mean he's the first one to do it in this way, since the others I heard of did it on social media.

    It's tough when the media outlets won't do their mf'ing job.
