Okay I am gonna send a question to fedi: Is there any good service for task management? Open-source (ideally free software) that one can self-host?
I need:
* A way to create tasks and put tags/categories on them
* Calendar management
* Web/Desktop based but the it is a must that I can self-host it.
Disclaimer: I won't use it for work but for some personal stuff
Jul 1, 2026, 10:28 AM@ffmancera I played with Vikunja for some time, but it felt quite raw. On the positive side, it's easy to compile and self-host, there are no mad requirements about being Docker-only or running some exotic database.

I am even open to contribute with stuff I need. I appreciate this recommendation a lot!
