I download a lot from Gutenberg, also from a free site where a lot of people have donated converted epub from DRM books (as have I). Has many in several languages too.
E-book prices have become almost as expensive as hard copies.
DRM can be removed with a Calibre ap, then you can convert to epub.
I no longer buy e-books from you-know-where because everything I want I've found on the free site.
