My fedi software of choice, GoToSocial, has now added relay support, and I've subscribed to a bunch and it definitely makes fedi feel more lively, as my followed hashtags get a lot more hits. Thanks for the great work @gotosocial team!

@matt it did increase the discoverability of posts through hashtags and my federated timeline is a lot more populated. For the storage aspect, yes it demands a lot of it so I resorted to a media cleanup schedule of every day set to delete everything older than 1 day old. I also use the scheduled deletion of posts originating from other servers, currently also set to delete anything older than 24hrs but I may change that to retain a few more days @ainmosni @gotosocial
