My wife and I have created a #GoFundMe for some very good friends who are going through a lot right now. Lucas is a powerful #LGBTQ+ advocate who was the youngest grand marshal that St Pete Pride ever had. When he married Emmie a few years ago, I had the honor of walking her down the aisle. Later this month Emmie will be facing open heart surgery and will miss weeks and weeks of pay from her job. A week ago Lucas broke his dominant hand in a freak accident. This will seriously hamper his ability to care for her post-surgery. He'll be missing a lot of work, too, and needs to pay for days at a hotel because the cardiac hospital is two hours away from their home. My wife and I are going to fly to #Arkansas to help them, but they really need some help with their financials.
