Who exactly asked for this feature?
If a song is playing and I want to know the title, I usually open the Shazam app on my phone. This is a pattern that has remained unaltered for 15 years and that nobody was in a rush to change.
But the espionage company better known as #Google has decided that their Shazam should be activated on your phone 24/7, that their “Audio Memory” needs to hear everything that happens around the device every day, so they update their “Now Playing” your notification.
I’m wondering how this will land in places where it’s illegal to record conversations without a user’s consent and without the possibility to opt out.
