Let me try and translate that... they tried to do something about spammers, and told CoPilot to change the login code, and keep spammers out. Surely the agents, with production logs and databases at their disposal can figure out how!

So CoPilot went, looked all the tombstone repos announcing a move to Codeberg, or a self-hosted forge, and reduced that down to "GitHub bad". As such, noone shall log in.

In this author's opinion, this ain't a bad outcome. They should keep it this way.
