@Mrfunkedude There's been so many times in the FOSS world that I've seen people approach some piece of software from a zero- (or negative-)sum point of view.

"I want [XYZ] to win!" (literal quote; software in question elided)

You wot? Why? What does "winning" entail, and why is that a good thing?
