    I've seen people talking about this with other corvids as well like Jays and such.

    @krnlg Yes, but outside of North America, the only concrete example I have of that is with European magpies.

    There are many species of corvids, including many species of crows, and they all have different behaviors. (and there are quite a few urban legends and myths surrounding them too).

    Do some species do it? Probably. Is it a common trait that's spread over most species, very very unlikely.
