There's only a week left in the California primary election. Huge shoutout to @robin for putting together a simple guide with some top tier progressive candidates. I second all of her choices, and wanted to add a few for my own district in Alameda county:
- Mike Katz for US Rep, 17th district, for having one of the best candidate statements I've read in a long time, and explicitly supporting the LGBTQ community! 🏳️🌈
- Scott Sakakihara for state senator, 10th district, a grandson of Japanese Americans interned during WW2 fighting against ICE, and who interned during the Obama admin. ✊
- Alex Lee for state assembly, 24th district, who also called out LGBTQ+ and trans rights! 🏳️⚧️
