[1/3] I would have killed to see this lineup in say, 1991; now it's an oldies revue for people who also have a colonoscopy on their Google calendar

A promotional poster for the "Darker Waves" music festival held on Saturday, November 14, in Huntington Beach, CA. The design features a retro synthwave aesthetic with a large yellow sun and purple grid background against a night sky. The headlining acts, Morrissey and Smashing Pumpkins, are displayed in large, stylized blue and purple text. Below them is a dense list of supporting artists in various fonts and colors, including Simple Minds, Bad Religion, Adam Ant, Soft Cell, The Damned, Manic Street Preachers, Gary Numan, and Silversun Pickups. The bottom of the poster reads "On The Beach" and lists the website DarkerWavesFest.com.

[2/3] Went down a small rabbit hole of 80s / 90s bands still slinging their tunes today; got to pay off the house / rehab / retirement fund. Some are doing better than others.

(Would still kill to see Alison Moyet; amazing voice. If you disagree I WILL FIGHT YOU)

A promotional poster for "The Human League Generations US Tour 2026" featuring special guests Soft Cell & Alison Moyet. The image displays three figures against a blue and purple gradient background. In the center foreground stands a bald man in a white suit jacket who features a distinct, small, and somewhat weird-looking isolated patch of dark hair on his chin (a soul patch), contrasting with his otherwise clean-shaven face. Behind him are two women, one with dark hair and one with blonde hair. A white audio waveform graphic runs across the lower section, separating the band members from a list of tour dates and cities printed at the bottom.

‪[3/3] Some aging bands simply 'play the hits', others seem to genuinely be having fun.

Pop Will Eat Itself remains fairly on-brand: graphics straight from 1989, occasionally releasing music at a moderate pace; their Facebook page full of geriatric ravers.

A concert poster for the band PWEI (Pop Will Eat Itself) promoting their "Delete-everything" event. The top features the band's logo in large white letters against a red and black digital, glitch-style background. Below the logo is a photo of five band members arranged in a collage; they are wearing sunglasses and dark clothing, with a central figure in a beanie looking forward. The text "DELETE-everything" appears in a stylized white font beneath the band. The bottom section provides event details in white and red text: "Saturday 16th May 2026" at "Roadmender" in "NORTHAMPTON." Ticketing information for Formpresents.com and Seetickets.com is listed at the very bottom.
